Would you like to be part of the Global Underscore 2013?

Global Underscore is a simultaneous practice of the Underscore around the world.  The Underscore NYC group has continued the tradition that dancer Claire Filmon began in 2000 of creating and coordinating a global Underscore at the summer solstice.

The Global Underscore practice is a slightly modified Underscore.  A special "small dance" stand happens during the "skinesphere" phase, in which each site faces the next site on the path of Underscores happening around the world. A closing small dance stand, facing the other direction, concludes the Global Underscore.
Underscore NYC will be gathering information in order to create the facing list so the directions of the stands can be accurately determined.

You're invited to coordinate your local Underscore activities with sites around the world participating in the Global Underscore 2013.  Underscore NYC (in New York City) will be coordinating Global Underscore 2013 and we welcome your communication

We are synchronizing the timing of the Global Underscore 2013 with Nancy Stark Smith and Mike Vargas's Underscore in Lisbon, Portugal, on Sunday, June 23 from 2-6 pm (GMT+1).

Please forward this email to anyone you know who might be interested in facilitating an Underscore anywhere in the world.  We'd love them to join us in this annual Global Underscore practice.

More details will follow soon.

Thanks and happy dancing!!
